Spring Girls’ Volleyball Clinics & Intramurals Set

A series of Thursday night girls’ volleyball clinics and intramurals are set for Huntington High School and J. Taylor Finley Middle School eighth graders.

The free sessions will begin on Friday, April 5 and continue on April 12, April 19, May 3, May 10, May 17, May 31, June 7, June 14 and June 21The evenings will feature skill instruction and play.

All sessions will be held in the Huntington High School gym from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Blue Devil varsity girls’ volleyball head coach Todd Donaghy is coordinating the free program.

These school sponsored sessions will include general conditioning and training along with an opportunity to learn more about the sport of volleyball. Attendance at all sessions is not required. Participate when it is convenient.

The sessions are open to all girls in grades 8-12. Previous experience is not necessary.

Interest in girls’ volleyball in Huntington UFSD is soaring. The varsity qualified for the playoffs last fall and about 100 seventh and eighth graders turned out for the two Finley teams this past November.
