Finley Musical on Stage on Friday & Saturday

The J. Taylor Finley Middle School drama club will present “Into The Woods, Jr.” on Friday and Saturday, March 15-16 at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium. The cast and stage crew have been prepping for the production for weeks with final rehearsals set for this week before the curtain goes up.

A synopsis of show goes like this: The musical centers on a baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse and wind up changed forever.

“It is a challenging musical score, but the performers have risen to the challenge,” Mrs. Graber said. “We hope the community can join us.”
