There will be all sorts of delectable food items at the breakfast along with juices and coffee and tea. There will be raffles and door prizes, too.

Andre Rizzuto is the band’s director with Patrick Neary and Mallory Martilla serving as the assistant directors.

The Blue Devil band is heading into its 91st year. It was founded by music teacher James Cloyd Doty in 1934 and was open to boys and girls in all four classes from the beginning. At that time, Huntington High School was located on Main Street in the building that is now utilized at Huntington Town Hall.

Those early bands marched in parades up and down Main Street, performed at football games held in Heckscher Park and displayed its talent at other town functions.

The current band has just as much pride as its predecessors over the years. The Blue Devil musicians and color guard members total about 100 and interest is growing. The band was outfitted in new uniforms and it looks and sounds great.
