The registration fee is $650 for residents and $675 for non-residents. Checks should be made payable to: Huntington High School Driver Education Program.

An application for the program can be downloaded by logging onto the Huntington School District’s website at www.hufsd.edu and scrolling down to Daily Downloads and clicking on the link under Calendars or by just clicking on this direct link: https://www.hufsd.edu/assets/pdf/resources/2023/driver/summer-packet.pdf

The course will run from June 26 through July 25. Classes will not be held on either July 3 or July 4. Make-ups will be held on Wednesday, July 26.

Lecture and road classes will be conducted Monday through Thursday. Students must attend all four days each week. Class time will depend on each student’s schedule. Individual schedules will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis on the day of registration. Note: Flip-flops are no permitted to be worn while driving.

Students are allowed to miss a maximum of one class. Once a student misses a second class, they will be dropped from the program and will be ineligible for a “blue card” (MV-285). Classes cannot be made up once a new semester has started.

Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the program each day. No refunds will be provided once classes have begun.

To be eligible for a “blue card” a student must satisfactorily complete 24 hours of lecture and 24 hours in the car during the summer program.
