Summer Flag Football & Field Hockey Camps

Among the most popular Huntington Booster Club summer camps are the boys’ flag football and girls’ field hockey programs. Registration is now available online for the entire summer camp program by visiting www.huntingtonboosterclub.com and clicking on the link for Summer Camp.

The new flag football camp will be directed by Blue Devil varsity head coach Ron Wilson. It is available to boys interested in learning more about the skills associated with flag football.

Daily sessions will focus on passing, catching and kicking as well as agility and speed work. Offensive and defensive strategies will be introduced. Every session will culminate with scrimmages and a variety of special contests. Priced at $150, the camp will run from June 26-29 from 5-8 p.m. at the high school on the turf field.

The field hockey camp is open to girls entering grades 6-12 in September. It seeks to improve participants’ skills in every aspect of the sport. The camp will run from July 10-13 from 5-8 p.m. on the turf field at Huntington High School.

Each of the four sessions will focus on the fundamentals of field hockey while having “tons of fun doing it,” according to a camp overview.
