Summer Bowling Camp Sponsored by Booster Club

May 11, 2023

The Huntington Booster Club is sponsoring a co-ed summer bowling camp at Larkfield Lanes in East Northport. Registration is now available online for the entire summer camp program by visiting www.huntingtonboosterclub.com and clicking on the link for Summer Camp.

The co-ed bowling camp is open to all boys and girls entering grades 6-9 in September. It will run from Monday-Thursday, July 10-13 from 9:30-11 a.m. at Larkfield Lanes bowling alley on Larkfield Road in East Northport. The registration fee for the camp is $85.

The camp will be directed by longtime Huntington UFSD physical education teacher John Walsh, who has been appointed as the new Blue Devil varsity bowling coach. Current varsity bowling team members will assist during the camp, which promises to be fun for everyone. For more information, contact Coach Walsh at jwalsh@hufsd.edu.

Coach Walsh has been a Huntington physical education teacher since September 1994. A graduate of East Islip High School, he earned an undergraduate degree at SUNY Brockport and a master’s degree at Stony Brook University. He has taught at several schools within Huntington UFSD and currently serves at Jack Abrams STEM Magnet School. He has coached boys’ volleyball on the middle school and high school levels and varsity girls’ soccer, bowling and softball.

A wide assortment of additional Booster Club camp opportunities are available, with a few more surprises expected to be added to the current lineup.
