Finley Girls’ Basketball to Feature Two Teams
january 12, 2023
Due to heightened interest, Huntington UFSD has created a second girls’ basketball team at J. Taylor Finley Middle School this winter. Tryouts will begin on Tuesday, January 17 in the school gym.
The two Finley teams are designated “blue” and “white” in a nod to Huntington’s school district colors. The two squads will be coached by physical education teachers Tim Madden and Jordan Ioviero. The rosters of both teams are expected to run 17-20 players each.
Section XI has issued both teams a 10 game schedule. The schedule will run from late January to late March. Practices and home games will be held in the Finley gym. Home games will be livestreamed via the Hudl camera in the gym to the Finley Blue Devil Sports YouTube channel.
Send a message to either Coach Madden (tmadden@hufsd.edu) or Coach Ioviero (jioviero@hufsd.edu) for more information about tryouts and the season.
