Blue Devils Livestream Many Athletic Events

Blue Devil sports fans will be able to watch livestreams of many athletic events during the fall, winter and spring seasons. Huntington UFSD has installed three Hudl cameras to record games in the Huntington High School and J. Taylor Finley Middle School gyms and atop the press box at Blue Devil Stadium.

The camera in the Finley gym will record boys’ and girls’ volleyball and basketball and wrestling.

The Blue Devil Stadium camera is available to record boys’ and girls’ soccer and lacrosse, field hockey and football and flag football games. An attempt will also be made to film boys’ and girls’ track and field meets.

The Huntington High School Louis D. Giani Gym camera will be recording girls’ volleyball, boys’ and girls’ basketball, Unified Basketball and wrestling. The athletic department will try to record boys’ and girls’ badminton, too.

Games will be broadcast live and later archived for viewing on demand on the following district YouTube channels:

• Finley Blue Devil Sports

• Huntington Blue Devil Stadium

• Huntington Lou Giani Gym

Due to a quirk in programming software, the Finley games are listed as “freshman” level on the YouTube channel, but viewers can clearly see it is the Finley gym and teams. Likewise, high school field hockey games are initially listed as soccer because Hudl doesn’t have a unique film package for field hockey, but the sport is obvious to viewers.
