August 18, 2023
Sol Rodriguez-Arevalo is a personable young woman who has surrounded herself with a great group of friends. The Huntington High School Class of 2023 member plans to study biology at Binghamton University.
Inducted into the Math Honor Society and Art Honor Society, Ms. Rodriguez-Arevalo was recognized as a Distinguished Senior after shining in all of her classes throughout high school.
The teenager cited hard work and forming great relationships with her teachers and classmates as the keys to her success. Remaining organized and allowing herself to grow as a person and enjoy the little things has complemented everything the new alum was able to do.
Ms. Rodriguez-Arevalo focused on maintaining a positive environment for everyone around her. Meeting new people and “creating amazing relationships” with her teachers and classmates along with participating in clubs and school events were among the highlights of the past four years.
Volunteering with the Key Club and participating in United Amigos, which offers students new to the US general academic and language support, has been deeply gratifying for Ms. Rodriguez-Arevalo.
Winning Huntington High School Pride Awards in English, Math, Science and Spanish have been proud moments in Ms. Rodriguez-Arevalo’s life.
Huntington social studies teacher Camille Tedeschi summed up the general opinion of fellow faculty members when she said simply: “Sol is amazing!”
