Ms. Beltran has impressed her teachers, who point with pride to the teenager’s all-around growth. The good natured senior works hard and pursues her goals with enthusiasm.

The well-liked young woman plans to participate in the high school’s debate club and United Amigos club as well as the Blue Devil esports team that vies in the Electronic Gaming Federation.

Ms. Beltran also plans to be involved in Wilson Tech’s SkillsUSA program, which is a career and technical student organization that serves nearly 400,000 middle school, high school, college and professional level members enrolled in training programs in trade, technical and skilled service occupations.

The senior is thriving as she goes about studying criminal justice at Wilson Tech. She is anxious to experience the challenge presented by the Skills USA competitions related to the criminal justice field.

Ms. Beltran has many friends at the high school and she enjoys many close relationships with classmates. She is having fun in her classes and with her clubs. “I’m excited to be participating in my clubs,” she said. “We do bake sales with United Amigos.” The club helps newcomers to Huntington and the USA adapt to the high school and community.

“My experience at Huntington High School has been very fun,” Ms. Beltran said. “I made so many good memories. I’m going to miss this high school when I graduate.”

Ms. Beltran stayed busy last summer, working in day care and helping a teacher with a class of children.

“My college interests are to study for and earn a degree in criminal justice,” Ms. Beltran said. “My career interests center on being a detective after graduating from the police academy.”
