Jason Giachetti has enjoyed a long and distinguished teaching career in Huntington UFSD. He recently obtained a doctorate so if anyone qualifies as a music expert it’s him.

Dr. Giachetti recently appeared as a music expert on a nationwide Star Ward podcast. He came across as the expert that he is and sounded confident while enthralling the audience with his expertise in music.

The podcast “Star Warsologies,” is for Star Wars fans looking to connect real world science, technology and fields of study to the galaxy far, far away. From biology, geology and cosmology to linguistics, psychology, and even brewing, the podcast examines Star Wars with the insight of its guest experts.

“I was interviewed for an episode titled, ‘Music and Melodies,’” Dr. Giachetti said. “Together, we discussed some of the music heard on the Star Wars soundtracks; some of the instruments seen in the films, the writing styles of John Williams, as well as some of the music that potentially influenced Williams when writing the film scores for the Star Wars franchise.”

Mr. Giachetti joined podcast co-hosts Melissa Truth Miller and James Floyd. Ms. Miller is the science and technology writer at Nerdist. She studied biology in school, worked in a chemistry lab and spent years going out to sea as an oceanographer. She now focuses on science communication, especially the way scientists are represented in movies and TV shows. She loves the overlap of science and science fiction and has written articles for Star Wars Insider. She’s moderated both virtual and in-person panels at ForceFest, Comic Con panels and Star Wars Celebration.

Mr. Floyd has been on and moderated panels at San Diego Comic-Con, Star Wars Celebration and FanX Salt Lake. With Star Wars Celebration, he’s co-organized the popular set of Bounty Hunt puzzle races since 2007, combining a love of Star Wars with devising fiendish clue-solving adventures. Currently a freelance writer and stay-at-home parent, he’s been blogging since the mid-2000s for sites like clubjade.net and bigshinyrobot.com, covering all sorts of news, conducting author interviews and reviewing The Clone Wars episodes and Star Wars comics. Now, he writes for starwars.com and the Star Wars Insider print magazine.”

Mr. Giachetti added panache to the show and appeared to enjoy himself in the process.
