Trustees Honor Advanced Placement Award Recipients
October 6, 2023
Nearly three dozen Huntington High School students were recognized at this week’s public meeting of the Huntington School Board for earning high scores on Advanced Placement exams last spring.
Huntington students challenged themselves by taking Advanced Placement courses and tests in an assortment of academic subject areas. In all, Huntington students sat for 748 exams last spring according to Superintendent Christian Bowen.
Participation in Advanced Placement courses continues to grow as school and district officials promote the classes and encourage all students to consider enrolling in one or more.
Principal Brenden Cusack and Director of Guidance Jeannette Alomia gave trustees, administrators and residents attending this week’s meeting an overview of the AP program at Huntington High School and the ongoing effort to get students to challenge themselves.
