Flower Hill’s September Stars Recognized

In the first weeks of the new school year, Flower Hill Primary School Principal Cindy Siegel has been impressed with the youngsters who comprise the student body there. The building’s educational leader recently joined with faculty and support staff members in honoring September’s Star Student Award recipients.

Ms. Siegel called the award winners Flower Hill’s “rock stars” but the group, while impressive, only scratches the surface of the wonderful young people in the building this year. Everyone is working very hard. Spread across kindergarten through third grade, hundreds of youngsters are studying at Flower Hill this year.

The recent award recipients were proud to be recognized and happy to pose for a commemorative photo. The youngsters posed with their certificates and smiled.

The honorees include Taylor Pallack, Denisse Sorto Torres, Natalie Walsh, Matthew Lopez Maldonado, Brianny Soto Yanes, John Hults, Leah Moreira Reyes, Dylan Reyes Ulloa, Brianna Ulloa Alfaro, Emmalyn Abrokwah, Nathaniel Lyons, Gabriel Lyons, Amy Soriano Coreas, Lina Whack, Morgan Pallack, Julian Marcano, Kevin Fernandez,  Angie Mendoza Sanchez, Yaretzi Alvarez Moreira, Griffin Selkirk, Oliver Hernandez Lopez and Violet Mills.

October will once again be a busy month at Flower Hill with all sorts of activities and special events. The PTA will meet on Tuesday, October 24 at 7:30 p.m. The PTA’s Halloween Bash is set for Friday, October 27. On Tuesday, October 31, there will be a costume parade
