H-ton Winter Hudl Livestream Feeds Available on YouTube

November 29, 2023

With the winter sports season underway at both Huntington High School and J. Taylor Finley Middle School, Blue Devil sports fans unable to make it to a home game can watch all the action live on the absolutely free Hudl camera livestream feed on YouTube.

The camera in the Finley gym will livestream boys’ and girls’ volleyball and basketball and wrestling this winter.

The Huntington High School Louis D. Giani Gym camera will livestream to YouTube boys’ and girls’ basketball games and wrestling meets this winter.

Games will be broadcast live and later archived for viewing on demand on the following district YouTube channels:

• Finley Blue Devil Sports

• Huntington Lou Giani Gym

Due to a quirk in programming software, the Finley games are listed as “freshman” level on the YouTube channel, but viewers can clearly see it is the Finley gym and teams.

The district also has a Hudl camera on the Blue Devil Stadium press box. It films games on the original turf athletic field.

Blue Devil fans can be assured there is no charge for watching the action. Fans thousands of miles away have been known to log-in to watch sons, daughters, grandchildren, etc.

“Hudl is a product and service of Agile Sports Technologies, Inc.; a Lincoln, Nebraska based company providing tools for coaches and athletes to review game footage and improve team play,” according to an online overview. “Its initial product line served college and professional American football teams. Today the company provides video services to youth, amateur and professional teams in American football as well as other sports including soccer basketball, volleyball and lacrosse” and several others.

Hudl is working on versions of its products that are capable of filming sports such as baseball and softball, too.
