Ms. Garofalo wrote about her experience in Italian class. “I chose to take Italian because of my Italian heritage and I wanted to be able to communicate with my family better,” she said. “A positive experience I’ve had in Italian is when we play ‘il professore,’ or when we play Jeopardy. After this class, I’m looking forward to being able to communicate with my dad in Italian and my family that lives in Italy. From being in the Italian program for five years, I am able to communicate and understand what my family is saying more and I am able to have more in depth conversations with them.”
