Summer Field Hockey & Softball Camps at Huntington

The Huntington Booster Club’s summer camp program will feature field hockey and softball camps, among many others. Registration is now available online for the entire summer camp program by visiting www.huntingtonboosterclub.com and clicking on the link for Summer Camp.

The field hockey camp is available to girls entered grades 6-12. It will strive to improve participants’ skills in every aspect of the sport. The camp will run from July 10-13 from 5-8 p.m. on the turf field at Huntington High School. Each of the four sessions will focus on the fundamentals of field hockey while having “tons of fun doing it,” according to a camp overview. The camp will be directed by Blue Devil varsity head coach Kathy Wright. The fee for the camp is $150. Send a message to Coach Wright at coachwright4@gmail.com for more information.

The softball camp is open to all girls interested in learning about and developing skills in the sport. Sessions will focus on field and hitting with fun games and games mixed in throughout. The camp will run from July 10-13 from 5-7 p.m. at J. Taylor Finley Middle School. The camp will be directed by Blue Devil softball coach Jim Byrnes. The fee for the camp is $100. A wide assortment of camp opportunities are available, with a few more surprises expected to be added to the current lineup.
