Flag Football & Girls Wrestling Camps This Summer

The Huntington Booster Club’s summer camp program will include boys’ flag football and girls’ wrestling camps, among many others. Registration is now available online for the entire summer camp program by visiting www.huntingtonboosterclub.com and clicking on the link for Summer Camp.

The flag football camp will be directed by new Blue Devil varsity head coach Ronald E. Wilson. It is open to boys interested in learning more about the skills associated with flag football. Daily sessions will focus on passing, catching and kicking as well as agility and speed work. Offensive and defensive strategies will also be introduced. Each session will culminate with scrimmages and special contests. Priced at $150, the camp will run from June 26-29 from 5-8 p.m. at the high school ton the turf field. The girls wrestling camp will utilize the Huntington High School wrestling room and be led by high school physical education teacher Maria Canino, who served this year as the first ever Blue Devil varsity girls’ wrestling coach. Priced at $75, the camp is open to any girl interested in learning more about the fundamentals associated with the sport of wrestling.
