Washington’s February Award Recipients Honored

Washington Primary School presented award certificates to its top students during the month of February and gathered the youngsters together for a commemorative photo.

“The ‘Washington Winners’ for February 2023 demonstrated the Washington expectations every day and they were role models for their peers,” Principal Michelle Richards said. “They were able to be kind to others; help their class walk in quiet lines in the hallway and stay focused throughout the day when learning is taking place.”

February’s award recipients include Hazel Vizcaino, Kimberly Cuadra, Wilson Hennings, Isabelle Riboul, Gianella Migliore, Annie LaMendola, Juliana Vujeva, Nikola Gaitan, Jefferson Cabrera, Liam DuPlessis, Diego Vasquez Argueta, Malia Castaldo, Preston Niedziela, Christina Divers, Matei Gaitan, Angie Garcia, Anna O’Neill and Jamie Hernandez Gonzalez.

The entire classes of teachers Kristen Thatcher and Julia Sexton were also recognized for their outstanding effort and performance both in and out of the classroom.

“At Washington Primary School, we try and try to be our very best every day,” Dr. Richards said.

Many events are scheduled at Washington in coming weeks and months. Family Night is set for Thursday, March 16. A PTA meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 12 at 6 p.m. Washington Movie Night will be held on Friday, April 14. Washington Dinner Night is set for Friday, April 28. The Washington Talent Show is scheduled for Friday, May 12.
