Will Fallon Goes Low to Lift Huntington Golf

September 22, 2022

Sophomore Will Fallon took command of the Huntington Crescent Club course, shooting an incredible one-under 35 on the front nine to lift the Blue Devil varsity boys’ golf team to an 8-1 victory over Half Hollow Hills West.

Fallon had a pair of birdies, six pars and one bogey en route to his lowest round ever. Huntington is now 2-0 this season. “This was a nice win for the team and a special performance by Will,” head coach Michael Marinello said.

Blue Devil golfers James Rosselli, Chase Gadaire, Jake Severine and George Mueger also won their matches. “The team is working hard, improving every match and having fun,” Marinello said. “That’s what high school sports are all about.”

Fallon was at the top of his game throughout the afternoon round. “I hit my irons very well,” the teenager said. “I hit every green in regulation, which really helped my score.”

Huntington’s roster also includes Anthony Addeo, Andrew Case, Gavin Deegan, Thomas Girimonti, Declan Kehoe, Thomas Kline, James Larson, Jibreel Murtaza, Evan Persampire, Ryan Scanlon, Cian Scott, Joseph Toscano, Harrison Uvena, Graham Gooch and Joseph Perotti.

The Blue Devils use various facilities for practice, including a local driving range, the high school corrective gym, Huntington Crescent Club and Sunken Meadow State Park.

Marinello said the Blue Devils have many tough matches ahead, but as the younger golfers gain experience and mature, Huntington will be well-positioned against any foe.
