Flower Hill Celebrates its Rock Stars

In her first months as Flower Hill Primary School’s principal, Cindy Siegel has been impressed with the youngsters who comprise the student body there. The building’s new educational leader recently joined with faculty and support staff members in honoring September’s Star Student Award recipients.

Ms. Siegel referred to the award winners as Flower Hill’s “rock stars,” but truth be told, there are dozens of stars in the building this year and they are all working very hard. Spread across kindergarten through third grade, hundreds of youngsters are studying at Flower Hill this year.

The award recipients were proud to be recognized and happy to pose for a commemorative photo with Ms. Siegel outside the school’s main entrance. The youngsters posed with their certificates and smiled.

The award winners included:

Kindergarten: Tommaso Rolando, Mateo Moreno Jimenez, Dominic Zaccaro, Brianny Soto Yanes; First Grade: Aslyn Flores, Orion Bellack, Sage Iervolino, Bradley Lorenzo Guerrero; Second Grade: Yaretzi Alvarez Moreira, Jasmine Kosloff, Jasmine Roberts, Amy Soriano Coreas; Third Grade: Ashley Cruz Ortega, Madeline Leiter, Taylor Flynn, Cayden Fernandez White, Jonathan Hernandez Cisneros

October will once again be a busy month at Flower Hill with all sorts of activities and special events culminating in the school PTA’s Halloween Bash on Friday, October 28. On Monday, October 31, there will be a costume parade
