Huntington Musicians Tapped for SCMEA Festivals

Dozens of Huntington School District musicians and vocalists have been selected to participate in the Suffolk County Music Educators Association’s annual festival series in 2023.

Huntington has a tradition of sending a large delegation of top musicians to the SCMEA festival series. Students perform in one of three concerts depending upon their respective grade level. This year’s district contingent will include nearly five dozen musicians spread across grades 5-10.

“The Huntington Music Department is thrilled to have 57 talented student musicians accepted into SCMEA All-County,” said Brian Stellato, district director of fine and performing arts. “This is a special accomplishment and is a credit to the hard work and dedication of these students and their incredible music teachers. Congratulations to all and we look forward to the SCMEA All-County concerts in March.”

Huntington High School

Ninth grade: Ruby Hoffman, Daniel Simon, Rachel Huth, Jeremy Allan, Lily Wasoski, Sergio Portillo
