If unbridled enthusiasm is any indicator, the two J. Taylor Finley Middle School boys’ basketball teams are set for a great season. The young Blue Devils are enjoying the opening weeks of the winter campaign.
The two squads are filled with more than three dozen energetic and enthusiastic players. The teams are designated “blue” and “white” since Huntington is the Blue and White. Finley-White is coached by Jordan Ioviero while Finley-Blue is headed by Timothy Madden.
Ioviero’s team consists of Ricardo Berry, Gian Karlos Bracero, Justin Cahn, Robbie Campbell, Alex Castro, Jack Corcoran, Micah Cummings, Reed Cummiskey, Colby Curran, Brian Fuentes, Michael Grover, Gannon Johnson, Zachary Matthews, Jordan Neufville-Quezada, Joseph Rivers, Charles Rosselli, James Ruthkowski and Shamell Spratley.
Ioviero is assisted by volunteers Jimmy Byrne and Nick Matarazzo. Diego Padilla and Dario Stincone are the team managers.
Finley-White has games scheduled against Deer Park, Babylon-Black, Finley-Blue, East Northport, Commack-Gold, Northport, Kings Park, Amityville, Elwood and Commack-White.
Madden’s team features Cameron Batts, Charlie Cirlincione, Aidan Collins, Will Donaghy, Kingsley Evans, Graham Gooch, Timothy Hardge, Brendan McNulty, Shates Miller, Adan Ntambwe, Jordan Oromaner, Jessie Perez, Marco Salas, Jack Steinberg, Patrick Tortora, Michael Tucker, Ryan Waters and Brett Wilson.
