Huntington School Board members have appointed Stephanie L. Campbell as the new principal of Woodhull Intermediate School. The veteran educator will assume the post on December 5 when she takes over for the departing Scott Oshrin, who has been named an assistant superintendent in Commack.
Ms. Campbell earned an undergraduate degree at James Madison University in psychology and elementary education in May 1997 and a master’s degree at George Mason University in educational leadership in January 2005.

Polansky. “From the onset of the screening and interview processes, Ms. Campbell genuinely impressed with her knowledge, experience and interpersonal connections. She is a great fit for the school and district, and is poised to do great things for and with her students, staff and colleagues in the years to come. I know she is looking forward to making Woodhull her new professional home!”
Woodhull’s new principal has been working as an elementary instructional coordinator at Ocean Avenue Elementary School in Northport since 2019. She was previously employed as at Ocean Avenue as a third grade and fifth grade teacher between 2014-2019.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Campbell worked as an alternative learning teacher at Hunters Woods Elementary School and as a third, fourth and sixth grade teacher at Waples Mill Elementary School from January 1998 - June 2005. Both schools are in Fairfax County, Virginia.
Ms. Campbell has participated in training focused on responsive classrooms, response to intervention/multi-tiered system of support for academics, integrated co-teaching, understanding by design and guided math.
In addition to her educational pursuits, Ms. Campbell is also a certified personal trainer and fitness instructor.
