Huntington sophomore Will Fallon took on Suffolk’s best and came through with an All-County performance to lead the Blue Devil varsity golf team this fall.
Huntington was coached by Mike Marinello and volunteer assistant coach Bob Colvin. The 19 player team was captained by Nicholas Sclafani, who was sidelined by injury for the entire season.

The Blue Devils finished fourth in the conference championships despite playing with only five golfers in the tournament after the sixth man fell sick. Huntington was third in the league with a 6-4 record.
Senior James Rosselli was also sharp all fall, capturing All-League and All-Conference recognition.
“Will Fallon is a confident and capable golfer,” Marinello said. “His work over the summer allowed him to attain All-League and All-County honors.”
Rosselli also garnered praise from his coach. “With only two years of experience, James has made huge improvements,” Marinello said. “He assumed a leadership position after our captain broke his arm early in the season. James missed the cut at the county tournament by a single shot. He is a great person and will be missed next fall.”
The roster also included Anthony Addeo, Andrew Case, Chase Gadaire, Tom Girimonti, Declan Kehoe, James Larson, George Mueger, Jibreel Murtaza, Evan Persampire, Ryan Scanlon, Cian Scott, Jake Severine, Joseph Toscano, Harrison Uvena, Graham Gooch and Joseph Perotti.
“This is still a young team,” Marinello said. “We lose one senior, but we get back our injured captain. We should be contenders for a league title and a deep run in the county tournament. We will be good. If the kids play in the Metropolitan PGA tournaments over the summer, we can be very good.”
Huntington’s team goals are simple: league and conference champions, county semi-finalists or better and state tournament qualifiers.
