Liam Lennon scored four goals and Aidan McNulty added a goal and four assists to propel the Huntington varsity boys’ lacrosse team to a 15-4 win at William Floyd. The victory improved the Blue Devils’ record to 7-3 in league play.

Huntington led 5-0 after 12 minutes of play and 11-0 at halftime. It was an important win for the Blue Devils, who are in fourth place in the 21 team Suffolk Division I standings. Northport, Smithtown East and Ward Melville currently sit atop the pack.

Huntington hosts eighth place Half Hollow Hills (6-4 in league) at Blue Devil Stadium this afternoon at 4 p.m.

Against William Floyd, the Blue Devils were firing on all cylinders right off the opening whistle. Robbie Smith had two goals and two assists. Chris Maichin scored twice and Anthony Annunziata had a goal and won 16 faceoffs.

Michael Kline scored a goal and added an assist. Ethan Evans, Thomas Kline, Chris Tittmann and Timmy McDonald all found the back of the cage. Jack O’Brien, Tyler Johnson and Peter Breingan had assists.

Huntington played a great game. Ryan Porzio caused four turnovers. Goalie Sammy Mac Arner made five saves before yielding to Matthew Mead, who stopped one shot.

The Blue Devils host Longwood on Saturday at 2 p.m. It will be Senior Day. Robert Eriksen, Ethan Evans, Jahiem Hawkins, Paul Knieriem, Harrison Krywak, Liam Lennon, Chris Maichin, Aidan McNulty, Matthew Mead, Jack O’Brien, Lucas Petrizzi, Ryan Porzio, Robert Smith, Brian Sosnowski and Chris Tittmann will be recognized.
