Final rehearsals are underway and the curtain is ready to rise on this year’s J. Taylor Finley Middle School drama club production of “The Alibis.” Shows are schedule for Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Finley’s drama club is led by faculty advisor and Huntington music teacher Susan Graber, who is serving at the show’s director. She is assisted by art teacher Jessica Simms. The organization’s executive board consists of Katie Cocoman (president/treasurer), Emma Boyle (publicity chair) and Wynne Franciscovich (storage director). Chris Deveau is the backstage director.
The Alibis takes to the stage on Friday and Saturday.
A synopsis of the show goes like this: When eccentric billionaire J. Leslie Arlington is murdered, a clueless detective finds the suspects are all reluctant to admit their alibis . . . because they were all committing other crimes! You never know what’s coming next when your suspects include disgruntled chefs and teen detectives, shady lawyers and vengeful divas, nosy professors and suspiciously loud butlers, but one thing’s for certain: The only thing more absurd than the suspects…are their alibis!
