Flower Hill Primary School’s Stars of the Month for May are, well, spectacular. They are wonderful boys and girls who are standing out in every possible way as they go about their daily activities in classrooms and all around the building.
Flower Hill Principal Lucia Laguarda and faculty and staff members believe these children are the “real deal” and more than worthy of special recognition.
The honorees include:
Kindergarten: Jeremiah Zhang, David Ochoa Benitez, Isabella Cruz, Talon Todd, Patrick Grill
First grade: Evelyn Waters, Emily Poli, Rudy Langumas, Fadimar Nativi-Ulloa, Amy Soriano Coreas, Kevin Diaz Santos
Second grade: Mila Cavazos, Angely Gonzalez Quevedo, Grace Bergmann;, Katherine Garcia Fuentes, Erin Reed, Evangelos Markou
Third grade: Angely Jimenez Fuentes, Maynor Pena Pineda, Nicholas Schloss, Dixi Guzman, Kathie Perez
Flower Hill celebrated its annual field day last week. Moving up exercises for third graders are slated for the afternoon of Wednesday, June 22. June 23-24 are half days.
It’s been a fun year for students, even with all of the modifications that were necessary as the world continues to battle the COVID-19 pandemic. Students handle all of the changes without too much of a fuss. They rolled with the punches and adapted very well.
The third graders will soon conclude their time at Flower Hill. The youngsters are already looking ahead to being fourth graders at either Woodhull Intermediate School or Jack Abrams STEM Magnet School. The children who will be returning to Flower Hill are equally excited to have a brand new experience in the building beginning in September.
