The Huntington High School Guidance Department has developed an Alumni Day program that’s available to all students and their families via a Zoom link on Wednesday night (January 19) at 7 p.m.
Huntington students and their parents never have to leave the comfort of their homes to participate in the program. Graduates from Huntington High School’s Class of 2020 and 2021 will discuss a variety of topics and share with current students their experiences and recommendations.
Similar sessions held in recent years have been very well received by participants. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions during the program, which has been organized by Huntington UFSD Director of Guidance Jeannette Alomia.
A sampling of the topics on the agenda include:
• The college and financial aid application processes
• The transition from high school to college
• Selecting an academic major
• Sports and clubs
• Dorming vs. commuting
• College during the COVID-19 pandemic
There will be a breakout room for Spanish speaking families.
