A pair of Huntington High School artists captured awards at the Suffolk County Art Leaders Association’s annual All-County & Scholarship show at the Old Town Hall on Main Street in Babylon.
Sophomore Sebastian Ramirez and senior Tyler Basil were both recognized during the show’s opening reception and awards ceremony. The exhibit is held in partnership with the Babylon Citizens Council on the Arts.
Teachers from across the county were asked to submit the work of their top artists in categories that included drawing, painting, 3D and photography along with mixed media, digital media and scholarship division.
Messrs. Ramirez and Basil are both studying with teacher Kasmira Mohanty. Mr. Ramirez, who is enrolled in Advanced Computer Graphics captured the Best in Category Award in video/animation.
