Nick Grover’s work at Huntington High School is complete and now the Class of 2022 member and Blue Devil track great is looking ahead to a new set of challenges at West Virginia University.
“I’ve known Nick Grover for the past four years in many capacities and he has grown to become an outstanding young man,” said Ronald E. Wilson, the Blue Devil boys’ varsity track and field head coach. He’s been a member of our winter and spring programs since ninth grade and demonstrated a competitive edge during both indoors and outdoors.”
Named First Team All-Long Island, Grover ran on Huntington’s All-State 4x400m relay team that won the Suffolk championship. “Nick is a Blue Devil that has loved enjoyed competing in a blue and white uniform.
Grover got his start in Huntington UFSD at Washington Primary School. He’s always been reserved and respectful and known as a hard worker.
“I am so proud of him both on and off the track,” Wilson said. “He is one who thoroughly prepares himself to meet and exceed the challenges that life offers. Nick meets each challenge with enthusiasm and confidence in himself. He’s one to always strive very hard to please others by getting the best grades possible and by showing he is a team player. His ability to maintain superior grades in rigorous courses and train hard and compete at a high level are characteristics I’m sure anyone would be well pleased with.”
