Huntington Booster Club Seeks Interns for 2021-22

The Huntington Booster Club has put out a call for interns for the 2021-22 school year

September 13, 2021

The Huntington Booster Club is interested in working with one or more Huntington High School students who would like to intern with the organization during the 2021-22 school year.

Interns assist the booster club at various events, including games and meets and at the organization’s events. Interns can learn all about the ins and outs of a very active not-for-profit organization, ranging from fundraising, evaluation of grant applications, development of special events and their execution to membership drives, marketing and public relations, to name just a few.

The Huntington Booster Club has been remarkably effective at supporting Blue Devil sports programs across the district from middle school, JV and varsity teams to summer camps and intramural programs and even unique youth nights.

In all, the organization has raised and donated more than $1.2 million to the district over the past decade to support student-athletes on all grade levels.

Not interested in any type of internship, but willing to volunteer for community service hours? The booster club would welcome that, too.

To get the ball rolling, send a message to Booster Club President Joe Mattio at 631-418-4600 or mattios@optonline.com for more information or to indicate your interest in pursuing an internship.
