Flower Hill Primary School students are all looking forward to summer vacation, just like kids everywhere. But while the youngsters will welcome the break, they will also miss their teachers and classmates. They really love coming to school every day. Just ask them.
Flower Hill Principal Lucia Laguarda recently led faculty and staff members in applauding May’s Star Student Award recipients. They are an excellent group of boys and girls who work hard, cooperate and display respect and are all enthusiastic about school and learning in general.
May’s honorees include:
Kindergarten: Maya Almonte, Lucas Rivera Rivera, Julian Marcano, Robert Tortora
First grade: Jeremiah Strickland, Maleah Militana, Alano Joly, Alexandra Spathis, Jada Cavazos
Second grade: Sofia Gutierrez Diaz, Liliana Prada, Serai Acevedo Ayala, Brady Weiss
Third grade: John Pinto, Ava Tortora, Elliot Lee, David Bergmann, Cristhian Barahona Doblado, Juliette Creegan, Ariel Alvizures Uceda
Ms. Laguarda and teachers and support staff members raved about the youngsters for their classroom efforts and their overall positive attitudes all around the building.
“While the COVID-19 pandemic has posed many challenges, the Flower Hill School family came together and strived to make it as productive and enjoyable an experience as possible for our students,” Ms. Laguarda said.
