With 24 short films set to be screened, Huntington High School’s 12th Annual Film Festival on Thursday, June 10 at 7 p.m. is expected to be something very special.
Admission is free. No tickets are required. The high school auditorium can accommodate 150 spectators who are socially distanced. The films will run for a total of about 60 minutes. Students, parents and community members are welcome to attend.
“I am proud of all of the students’ hard work and perseverance during these unprecedented times,” said art teacher Heather Swan, who leads Huntington High School’s video arts program. “The quality of their work maintained its integrity. I’m excited to be able to present our 12th annual Huntington High School Film Festival as an in-person event.”
The festival’s lineup includes:

• “Vaping” – Public service announcement by Jack O’Brien
• “Doritos” – Commercial by Lily Froggatt Bale
• “Drama Mammas” – Reality TV show by Sarah Biernacki
• “Littering” – Public service announcement by Katerina Damiano
• “Chase” – Short story by Matthew Colavecchio
• “Kilwin’s” – Documentary by Caroline Kilgour
• “The Real Bandmates of Huntington” – Reality TV show by Lauren Gooding
• “VANS” – Commercial by Samantha Koepele
• “BSN Network” – Multi-camera by Jack O’Brien
• “Smart Chicks” – Public service announcement by Lilianna LaVertu
• “What Would You Do?” – Reality TV show by Matthew Colavecchio
• “The Date” – Art movement by Katerina Damiano
• “Front Tuck” – YouTube tutorial by Landry Flynn
• “Carrie3” – Multi-person by Lauren Gooding

“This is a great opportunity for these hard working students to share their talents with their family, friends and our community,” Mrs. Swan said.
The filmmakers will be available to discuss their work before and after the program.
