The fall sports season is on the horizon at Huntington High School as athletes and coaches begin preparations for the start of tryouts/practices on Monday, August 23.
The Blue Devils will field the following teams for the fall season: Varsity and junior varsity boys’ soccer, girls’ soccer, field hockey, golf, girls’ tennis, girls’ volleyball and football and varsity girls’ swimming and diving and boys’ and girls’ cross country.
Every student needs to get re-qualified by the school nurse prior to each sport season. The nurse can only clear a student-athlete who has the following forms on file:

Here is the schedule for requalification and physical exams by the school doctor:
Wednesday, Aug 18
• Sports clearances for students with a physical exam within past 12 months:
9 a.m. – Boys’ soccer
10 a.m. – Girls’ soccer
11 a.m. - Field hockey
12 noon - Golf
Thursday, Aug 19
• Physical exams with the school doctor: 8 a.m. - Physical exam with the doctor for all students in any sport that need a physical.
• Sports clearances for students with a physical exam within past 12 months:
9 a.m. - Football
10 a.m. – Girls’ swimming and girl’ tennis
11 a.m. – Girls’ volleyball and boys’ cross country
12 noon – Girls’ cross country
Monday, August 23
• Sports clearances for students with a physical exam within past 12 months:
7 - 10 a.m. - All sports
Tuesday, August 24
• Sports clearances for students with a physical exam within past 12 months:
7 – 10 a.m. - All sports
All Blue Devil sports student-athletes are also required to submit a blue parent permission form to their coach no later than the first day of tryouts/practice.
