An Advanced Placement Scholar, Jazmynn Clark graduated last month as one of the leading members of Huntington High School’s Class of 2021. The teenager will soon begin studies at Northeastern University in Boston in preparation for a career in nursing.
An enthusiastic, happy and highly regarded young woman who has been studying in Huntington UFSD’s classrooms since her earliest days of elementary school, Ms. Clark attributes her success to the support of her family, teachers and friends. This support, coupled with her diligence in all things, has paved the way for the new grad to do her absolute best.
Ms. Clark possesses a sharp intellect and a wonderful sense of humor that helps make her personality simply magnetic. A valued member of the Huntington Blue Devil marching band, she walks away from high school with memories that will last a lifetime.
The past four years have been filled with challenging classes, clubs and assorted extracurricular activities and many new faces entering Ms. Clark’s life. She said that forming new friendships has been among the most enjoyable aspects of her high school experience.
Plenty of friends and keeping a calendar filled with activities helped make the time Ms. Clark spent at Huntington High School a whole lot of fun.
A member of four different academic honor societies, Ms. Clark’s favorite activity has been training and performing with the Blue Devil marching band’s color guard unit. She said the color guard gave her a place to be herself, expand her skill set and become a leader.
As she prepares to leave Huntington to study at Northeastern in Boston, Ms. Clark does so knowing that she has “formed special bonds with amazing people” that she will “cherish forever.”
