Huntington UFSD parents are invited to participate in free online classes offered by Nassau BOCES. There are offerings covering English, math, science, social studies, social-emotional, library services and a variety of other interesting areas. Most classes begin at 7 p.m.
“These virtual classes will be interactive and taught live by Nassau BOCES curriculum specialists and professional consultants,” according to a program overview. “All classes will include time for the instructor to respond to questions from the participants. Additional topics will be added to the class catalog based on parent input. Recordings of all sessions will be made available for unlimited access on the parentEDU webpage.”
All of the classes were designed for parents and caregivers to help them to assist their children during remote learning. The course catalog currently features 21 separate classes, with additional ones expected to be added.
