They are all heading off to college, but four longtime Huntington High School boys’ tennis players will never be forgotten by the Blue Devils.

Joshua Bailin (Most Valuable), Richard Rongo (Most Improved), Aiden Lefebvre (Coaches Award) and Aaron Chin (Coaches Award) were all recognized at the 53rd annual Blue Devils senior athletic awards ceremony in Louis D. Giani Gymnasium.

The four graduating seniors have helped make Huntington’s boys’ tennis program very competitive over the years. Each of the teenagers made significant contributions to the team’s success, playing singles and doubles and encouraging their teammates to reach new on court heights.

Coached by Jamie Fishlow, the players have been mainstays in the Blue Devil tennis team’s lineup. The group lost their junior season due to COVID-19, but rebounded with fine performances this past spring as seniors.

Bailin (Nassau Community College), Chin (Bucknell University), Lefebvre (Dickinson College) and Rongo (University of Scranton) will soon be sitting in college classrooms, but none of the four sensational players will ever forget their days at the Coach Cupp Courts Complex.

Fishlow said all four will be “very much missed” but will “always be remembered for their dedication to the program and commitment to excellence.”

The group set an excellent example for last year’s underclassmen, who will now use what they learned from the departing seniors to play their way to victory.
