Club members have a full agenda for the last months of the school year, including work in the high school courtyard.

“The club is currently having a fundraiser selling tote bags,” Ms. Ali said. “The tote bags are $10 and we running out of stock! Our plans for the spring are to clean up Eli’s garden and plant flowers there as well. Following this we will also be cleaning and setting up the pond in the courtyard. We continue to have our monthly meetings and encourage others to still attend to discuss environmental issues.”

It’s not too late to get involved. Every student in the building is invited to join the organization and participate in its activities and learn more about environmental issues and possible solutions. The club’s Google Classroom code is h5rfmyn. Monthly meetings are held on Friday afternoons. Text its Remind code of @hhsenv19 to 81010.

“Our fundraiser has gone pretty well,” Ms. Kaur said. “We sold reusable bags and I think they almost sold out. A garden clean-up is currently being planned for Eli’s garden. We plan to add a few more plants and clean any leaves or trash out of it.”

Club members really do believe that little things can make a big difference.
