The winter interscholastic sports season coaching staff is set at Huntington High School and J. Taylor Finley Middle School.
Practices will commence on January 4 for winter season sports at the high school and for the first of the two winter seasons at Finley. (The late winter season at Finley runs from February 8 through March 20.)
Pre-season conditioning for the winter sports program will begin soon. Coaches have been organizing their teams and reviewing league schedules, which were recently released by Section XI.
The following coaches have been appointed by the Huntington School Board for the winter season:
Boys’ Basketball: Jordan Ioviero (varsity head coach), Patrick Reilly (junior varsity), Tim Madden (Finley)
Girls’ Basketball: Mike Kaplan (varsity head coach), Marissa Bergmann (varsity assistant), John Romano (JV), Tim Madden (Finley)
Boys’ & Girls’ Fencing: Michelle O’Brien (varsity head coach), Burke Tomaselli (varsity assistant)
Boys’ Swimming: Meg McConnell (varsity head coach)
Boys’ Indoor Track & Field: Ronald Wilson (varsity head coach), Eli Acosta (varsity assistant)
