The Huntington Booster Club is interested in working with Huntington High School seniors who would like to intern with the organization during the 2020-21 school year.
Those who have room in their schedule and would like to participate in the high school’s career internship program could receive one academic credit. Not interested in participating in the formal program? That’s fine, too. You can still intern.
Interns assist the booster club at various events, including games and meets and at the organization’s events. Interns can learn all about the ins and outs of a very active not-for-profit organization from fundraising, evaluation of grant applications, development of special events and their execution and membership drives to marketing and public relations, to name just a few.
The Huntington Booster Club has been remarkably effective at supporting Blue Devil sports programs across the district from middle school, JV and varsity teams to summer camps and intramural programs and even unique youth nights. In all, the organization has raised and donated more than $1.2 million to the district over the past decade to support student-athletes on all grade levels.
Not interested in any type of internship, but willing to volunteer for community service hours? The booster club would welcome that, too.
