Washington Primary School Principal Michelle Richards took delight in announcing the names of a very special group of young people. It was a time to celebrate a group of children who are working hard and doing a very good job during often challenging circumstances.
Dr. Richards presented certificates to 18 Washington Ways Award recipients for their outstanding performance in classrooms and all around the building, including playground areas.
November’s honorees include Rosalina Sanzere, Berenice Miranda Raymundo, Jay Fuentes, Ziara Guardado, Matei Gaitan, Cinthia Castro, Elder Sanchez Campos, Sophie Adcock, Audrey Jenkins, Gregory Hinton, Nathaniel Dickson, Jael Fuentes, Gabriella Zielinski, Joanna Chavez Moreira, Tristan Jenkins, Khloe Bedell, Jimi Kosloff and Christina Divers.
The entire classes of teachers Suzanne Catrini and Suzanne Dinehart were also recognized for their fine efforts.
Washington Primary School is a bustling place. Sure there have been modifications and some dramatic changes to traditional operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but students are still enjoying every minute of every day.
“Our children have adapted very well to what we need to do to try and keep all of us safe,” Dr. Richards said. Teachers are striving to give students the very best education possible under the circumstances and also keep things fun for the youngsters.
Washington School is a melting pot of creeds, cultures and personalities all coming together in an awesome display of brotherhood. Students genuinely love each other and work and play remarkably well together. The school’s PTA has always provided exceptional support for the faculty. Nestled in the southeast corner of Huntington UFSD, Washington’s grounds are spacious.
