Huntington UFSD’s original Facebook page is back up and running and the transition back to it from a second page that officials had to create is now complete. The original (and current) page can be found by entering Huntington Union Free School District in the Facebook search bar or using this direct link: https://www.facebook.com/HuntingtonUFSD/

Don’t ask how it was finally accomplished, but the Huntington School District has finally managed to overcome severe technical challenges that resulted in its original Facebook page becoming frozen and inaccessible in mid-July. That forced officials to create a new page.

Officials worked last weekend to bring the content from the second page that had been in use for about six weeks back into the original page. That transition has been completed.

The malfunction in July prevented the district from updating its original page for several days, inconveniencing the more than 5,950 followers who count on it for daily updates. Now operational again, eight years of postings are accessible on the original page.

Those who choose to follow can easily keep abreast of district events, announcements, happenings and accomplishments. The district’s website, Instagram and Twitter pages and YouTube channel were unaffected by the Facebook malfunction.

Log onto the district’s website at www.hufsd.edu and scroll down to the bottom left of the homepage. You will find links to Huntington UFSD’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube pages. Everyone is invited to follow the district via each of these services. All of these platforms can be accessed from desktops, laptops, mobile phones, tablets, etc.
