Ella Siepel is off and running - literally. The Huntington High School junior is the Blue Devil cross country team’s co-captain and one of the best students in the Class of 2021.
“Though we’re only a couple weeks into the new school year, I’ve had nothing but good experiences so far and I’m very excited for the future,” Ms. Siepel said. “I’ve enjoyed all of my teachers and classes, especially my US History class, my Advanced Placement English Literature class and my orchestra class.”

Ms. Siepel is a great runner, starring during all three seasons with the cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field teams. This promises to be her best year yet.
“My cross country season has been amazing so far and I’m thrilled to be a captain of such a great group of people,” Ms. Siepel said. “Personally, I feel I’ve gotten my season off to a good start and that will allow me to hit my goal times in upcoming races and help me to qualify for the divisions and state qualifier races.”
Ms. Siepel is also a wonderful musician with a growing reputation. “I’ve just begun rehearsals with the Long Island Youth Orchestra, which is playing a rigorous and demanding repertoire this year and I’m happy to be a part of it,” she said. “I’m looking forward to being a part of a quartet this year, as well as participating in the school chamber and pit orchestras for the third time. I hope to earn make NYSSMA all state this year, so hopefully if I continue to practice I’ll achieve this goal.”
This short story barely scratches the surface of what this talented teenager has going on, but stay tuned as Ms. Siepel makes the most of every day as a Huntington junior.
