The countdown to summer vacation hasn’t started quite yet at Flower Hill Primary School. There is still too much to learn and too much fun still awaiting students.
Principal Lucia Laguarda thoroughly enjoys presenting the Star Student Awards each month. “It’s always a pleasure to recognize a job well done,” she said. “Who doesn’t enjoy getting a pat on the back? Our students are no different. They are delighted to be complimented for their fine efforts.”
April’s honorees include:
Kindergarten: Abigail Diaz Santos, Madison Martin, Yesenia Bueso, Alexa Kraft, Phoebe Cohn
First grade: Luke Greco, Charlie Gordon, Ruby Richter, Marleni Guevara Rivas, Cristian Bonilla Mejia
Second grade: Zoe Zeller, Geimy Manzanares Castro, Jeremiah Lacen, John Dos Santos, Edwin Lopez, Jr.
Third grade: Brianna Occean, Emma Stensland, Anderson Raymundo Sarceno, Alexander Colonna, Symphany Cunningham, Perla Nativi Ulloa
April’s Star Class Award went to the first grade teachers’ Nicole Arana/Jaclyn Legodais’ first grade class for their wonderful performance throughout the building.
The Star Student Award recipients were all cited by their teachers for a sensational month filled with outstanding performance in Flower Hill’s classrooms and all around the building.
The honorees were presented with certificates and then gathered as a group with Ms. Laguarda. A commemorative photo was snapped. If will be affixed to a bulletin board along the building’s main hallway.
