Booster Golf Outing Set for Monday, August 19

The Huntington Booster Club will host a golf outing at Crab Meadow on Monday, August 19

July 19, 2019

The Huntington Booster Club will be holding a golf outing on Monday, August 19 at Crab Meadow Golf Course in Northport. A crowd of coaches, alumni, district officials and local folks are expected to spend on the day on the links.

The affair was originally scheduled for July 1, but a devastating afternoon storm a day earlier badly damaged the course and caused the outing to be postponed. There are limited openings for single players, twosomes and foursomes.

Huntington alums Todd Jamison and Dr. James Paci played in the same foursome at last year's outing.

Single player entry is priced at $185 with twosome ($370) or foursome ($740) entries also available. Those wishing to attend just the post-play awards reception can do so for $25.

The day will begin with lunch and registration/check-in at 12 noon. The driving range will be open and available. A shotgun start will begin play at 1:30 p.m. The awards reception is set for 5:30 p.m.

Player entries include a cart, lunch, awards and a post-play cocktail reception. There will be a variety of on-course-contest, including closest to the pin, beat the pro and longest drive.

Last year’s Booster Club golf outing was a fun day. Many of the players hadn’t seen others in years so it served as a reunion of sorts. The field included dozens of alums and many former and current coaches.

Sponsorship opportunities include:

Varsity sponsor: $3,500 – Includes two foursomes, tee sign, a large banner affixed to the fence surrounding the Blue Devil Stadium turf field for three years and recognition at the golf outing and via the Booster Club’s social media platforms.

JV sponsor: $2,000 – Includes one foursome, tee sign, large Blue Devil Stadium banner for one year and event and social media recognition.

Tee signs: $250 each for business/corporate; $100 for a family.

A $1,000 golf cart sponsorship has already been sold. All proceeds from the event will be used by the Booster Club to support its grant program, which benefits Blue Devil athletic teams.
