Flower Hill Primary School wrapped up the 2018/19 school year and headed off to summer vacation in fine fashion, but not before Principal Lucia Laguarda presented a series of awards to some special youngsters spread across every grade level.
Flower Hill enjoyed a banner year with students striving to go above and beyond both in and out of the classroom. The PTA and parents in general provided the type of strong support the school has been known for since it opened in September 1954.
The Flower Hill School community has always been a close-knit, family oriented group that takes pride in students’ accomplishments both large and small. Winning Star Student of the Month Award honors means an awful lot to both the boys and girls and their parents.
Flower Hill third grader Nicolina Santoli won a Perfect Attendance Award.
Star Students have many things in common, including working closely and enthusiastically with their teachers and classmates. They cooperate, help others, display respect and are considerate. They are a joy to be around and a credit to their families and the community at large.
