Flower Hill School Salutes Third Graders

Flower Hill's third graders performed a musical selection for the moving up ceremony crowd in the school gym

July 3, 2019

“In a world where you can be anything; be kind.” It’s a philosophy that Flower Hill Primary School third graders completely embraced. The youngsters participated in a moving-up ceremony in the gymnasium before a crowd of loved ones who beamed with pride.

The recent ceremony featured musical performances, a presentation of “class memories” by articulate third grade boys and girls and a slideshow of school year highlights. When it came time to present certificates of completion to the youngsters, many parents choked up with emotion.

“My Flower Hill seniors were an exceptional group of students,” Principal Lucia Laguarda said. “We lovingly referred to this group as our seniors, since most had finished their four years at Flower Hill and they really did rise to the level of being called a ‘senior.’ They were caring, smart and kind. These students really knew how to ‘Choose Kind’ and they will go on to make a beautiful difference in the world. We will miss our Flower Hill seniors; the Class of 2019, and we wish them the very best.”
