Huntington Drama Club Presents Cinderella this Weekend

The Huntington High School drama club will present Cinderella this Friday and Saturday.

March 22, 2018

The enchanting tale of Cinderella will come to life in the Huntington High School auditorium this weekend as talented teenage actors, musicians and stagehands bring the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic before theatre-goers for three shows.

Rehearsals have been ongoing for weeks as drama club and pit orchestra members learn the lines and music that has made Cinderella so popular for generations. The stage crew has been busy creating dynamic sets and perfecting the auditorium’s lighting and sound to enhance the production.

The curtain will go up on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and again on Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The cast will be signing autographs at Saturday’s matinee. Tickets will be available at the door for $10 for the general public and $5 for seniors, students and Huntington UFSD staff members. The auditorium is completely handicapped accessible.

English teacher Mike Schwendemann is the high school drama club's longtime faculty advisor.
