With the 2017/18 school year down to its final two weeks, Flower Hill Primary School took time to honor an exceptional group of young people as its May Star Student Award recipients.
Flower Hill Principal Lucia Laguarda and teachers and support staff members raved about the youngsters for their classroom efforts and their overall positive attitudes all around the building.
The most recent Star Student Award winners include:
Kindergarten: Hayden Amar, Katharine Lyons,
Emma Leiter, Bradley Burke, Jayden Giron Vicente, Cristian Bonilla Mejia, John Ramirez Tavarez
First grade: Angel Alvarez Ramirez, John Gentile, Elizabeth Penida Benitez, Tyanna Oliver, Deili Snachez
Second grade: Leonardo Canas Martinez, Edgar Reyes Benitez, Critza Cruz, Kayla Hernandez, Anise Reid, Michael Villatoro-Benitez
Third grade: Grace Callery, Marcus Argaman, Lucy Less, Alejandra Lizama Maldonado
Fourth grade: Genesis Morales Alvarez, Deyvin Granados Campos, Jaslyn Marroquin Chavez
The honorees were presented with certificates and later assembled for a photo with Ms. Laguardo before a large mural in the school cafeteria. The photo will be displayed in the building.
May’s Star Class Awards were presented to classes taught by Cathy Fede and Jaclyn Legodais.
“It’s wonderful to recognize students and classes that are working especially hard,” Ms. Laguarda said. “We have had a great group of boys and girls at Flower Hill this year.”
