Huntington SEPTA Donates Thousands for Mini-Grants

Huntington's Special Education PTA awarded $3,500 in grants.

The Huntington School District’s Special Education PTA has donated thousands of dollars to the district to cover the cost of nine mini-grant awards for a variety of educational items designed to improve students’ classroom experience.

Huntington School Board members accepted SEPTA’s donation to the district in the amount of $3,487.79 to fund the competitive grant proposals, which were submitted by teachers.

“Thanks, once again, to SEPTA,” Huntington Superintendent James W. Polansky said. “The organization continues to do great things for our students and staff. The grants are but one way the organization supports programs across the district. All efforts are beyond appreciated. For those who have not already done so, please consider joining and becoming an active SEPTA member.”
